"Everybody needs a somebody." I wish I could credit where I heard that phrase, but nevertheless it's one that has stuck with me. Everybody needs a somebody. Somebody that will see them, hear them, know them and accept them. Do you have that person in your life?

Ann Marie Young is being that somebody for the community at Harrison Square Apartments. Monday through Thursday she's faithfully showing up and serving that community. She teaches invaluable lessons around finances, emotional intelligence, and mentorship.

I personally have had the honor to volunteer for her multiple times and each time the students challenge me to be a better version of myself. Sure, they have good and bad days (just like us adults!) but no matter what, being present there encourages them to keep trying to be the best version of themselves they can be.

Could you also be that 'somebody' for the youth at Harrison Square? Even if you have just one afternoon a week, you can make a difference.
